Role: Payroll Specialist
Location: Markham
Working model: Onsite
Our client is looking for an experienced full cycle payroll professional to join the organization to support full cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees
Responsibilities
- Experienced full cycle payroll professional
- comfortable handling a high volume hourly environment
- Previous union experience considered an asset
- Strong legislative compliance payroll knowledge – staying up to date with any relevant changes and updates
- Ability to communicate across departments, respond professionally to payroll-related inquiries or direct them to the appropriate contact
- Familiar with Time and Attendance softwares, able to handle timesheet verification and audits when necessary
- strong excel skills
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification considered an asset
