The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a hands-on Payroll Team Lead to oversee payroll operations across multiple entities while leading a team of 2 payroll professionals. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key part in payroll transformation, process improvement, and a large-scale Dayforce implementation within a growing North American organization.

Overview

* Lead and mentor a 2-person payroll team
* Process full-cycle, multi-provincial Canadian payroll
* Support U.S. payroll operations and acquired entities
* Drive payroll process improvements and efficiencies
* Partner with Finance and leadership on payroll initiatives
* Support the transition and consolidation of multiple payroll systems into Dayforce
* Work within a payroll environment of 1,500 employees across Canada and the U.S.
* Exposure to union payroll and complex payroll operations

Ideal Background

* 5+ years of Canadian payroll experience
* Multi-provincial payroll expertise
* Strong compliance, remittance, and year-end knowledge
* Previous leadership, mentorship, or team lead experience
* Dayforce experience preferred
* U.S. payroll exposure considered an asset
* PCP or PLP designation preferred
